HELP! '82 305 carb into a '90 305 tbi
hello all,
i have a 1990 rs 305 tbi and i have come across an offer of an 1982 305 carb that is .030 over with proper pistons/cam for $200 with the rebuild kit.
my eng and tranny are original never been opened in its 20 year life. i bought the car from original owner about a year ago. but I'm on 22" irocs and need a lil bit more torque. it's a cruiser not a racer. the remove the 305 and insert a 350 and enjoy is not applicable right now. i just want a lil more torque in the lower rpm range.
my question/dilema can i use this 82 rebuilt block with my 90 tbi set up?
i know the
82 came with 145 hp vs the 90 with 170hp.but with this kit that makes it a 310 i believe(was told) does anyone know how much power it will deliver??? or torque??? please help I am new to this, this is my first build/rebuild ever. all information is greatly appreciated and thanked for.
