I did the swap from a 305 tbi to a 350 tbi and plan on getting another intake and boring it out. Along with that I plan on grinding down the ridges off the throttle body and a throttle body spacer. Can I get by with the stock chip or will need to do some tuning or a need to get a chip made?

 

I think u need a 350 chip, did u just swap blocks ? and left everything else from the 305 ? Like ecm chip injectors etc ? Cuz i think u need some things like a 350 ecm , chip , knock sencor , injectors and a higher psi fuel pump. If all u need is a chip then yeah u need a chip from a 350 car , like a caprice cop car or burn ur own chip or have urs made by a place like tbichips.com

 

I have the 350 chip in it already. I was just wondering if by doing the intake and throttle body modification, will I need to get a performance chip or could I get by with the stock chip. I have an extra 350 tbi intake and an extra 305 throttle body so I can switch it back stock if I wanted to. Just curious if I were to do this cause I do not have the funds for a performance or modified chip right now. Please any info will be very helpful cause I plan on starting tomorrow while the weather permits.

 

305 and 350 TBI, FP (Fuel Pressure) are the same, around 11-13 psi. The fuel pump is the same too.

The 305 and 350 TB are the same, intake is mostly the same to except some little exterior details.
The stock tune will support the ultimate TB mod. TB and ported intake easy.
