I have L03 heads...

I have L03 heads on my 88 TPI 305 running a 94 LT1 Cam w/19lb injectors.

This was at ONE point in time a bone stock 305 service block with L03 heads, cam, and injection. since the engine only had about 5k on it, I topped it off with LT1 cam, behive springs, and TPI setup. the damn thing has some ***** on it, thats for sure. but i'd LIKE to give it a little more, which brings me to the point of this thread, 1.6 roller rockers.... bent valves and terrible valve cover clearance? or go for it you'll love em? which will it be?

Re: I have L03 heads...

I agree, the LO3 with LT1 cam slips in the fun category.

If you have the .450/.460 lift LT1 cam, with the 1.6 lifters that will be .480/.490 in. The stock 187 heads should have a .470 safe limit.
But you should be fine with LT4 style valve spring retainers. Try a little search.

One thing that comes to mind, is that the 187 heads flow capability don't appear to take full advantage of the LT1 cam, so adding 1.6 rockers may end up not meeting big expectations. Though I have not tried and cannot tell for sure.
