Help....

I know this has been brought a few times. But mine seems slightly different. I have a 1992 RS 305. When driving with the air on, the car is fine. As soon as I stop I get this heavy, almost sweetish smell rolling through my vents. Soon as I take off it stops. With Motor running and hood up, no smell in the engine bay. What else could this be?

Re: Help....

It is possible you have a leaking heater core and antifreeze is getting into the internal ductwork giving you that sweet smell.

Re: Help....

How do I go about checking which it is? Coolant isn't low so I assume its not that. But the heater core? I appreciate the help.
