Injector help on 89 iroc LO3

89 camaro iroc z with the TBI LO3

It will start with starting fluid and once it starts you can press the throttle between nothing and WOT quickly and it will barely stay running. Looking at the injectors, they only spray every time you crack the throttle back open (or so it seems) but if you try to hold steady with the throttle or let off all together, it dies. I read the other thread about the injectors not pulsing so I have a few things I can try when I go back to the car again but in the mean time, please throw some ideas my way. And i took a volt meter to the injectors and with the key in ON position BOTH sides of each injector are showing 12v.

Sounds crazy, but same symptoms occur with a bad coolant temp sensor. Located next to your thermostat housing.

That would make the injectors not fire unless its already running and only when your feather the throttle???

Haha I think you were right. I found today that the A/C compressor wires and coolant temp wires were touching. After pulling them apart and wiggling the injector wires it started and ran. Thanks dctrumpet!
