I'm BACK!
SO i have run my 357 with a Holley 600 Carb with vacuum secondaries for about 2 years now and its poor drivability is finally getting to me. I want to go back to FI. My car was originally TBI and i am going to use TBI again b/c my car still has all the factory wiring.(i just cut a lot of it) First off does the whole TBI harness plug into the C100 bulkhead(i think that's what its called) SO basically i can just get a new/used tbi harness and just plug it in and hook it up? Also i've read about better ecms and such for the TBI. I used to use a 7747 ecm i do believe and i had a tuner. (i would datalog and send him the info, then he would send me a new chip) But the car never ran as fast as it should have. (Biggest cam for stock Vortec heads/ vortec heads/ intake, exhaust etc. and only got a 16.00 at the 1/4 mile track.(When it was Auto)) Should i get a better ecm to be tuned or just tune the old one? and what are my options for a TBI unit I have my stock 305 tbi unit with all the ultimate tbi mods, or do i need the 454 unit? Sorry so many questions but i want to be back to FI pretty quickly! THANKS

Also will i need to run a new cam?

Re: I'm BACK!
EBL flash would make the tuning part easy and efficient.
112 lsa is probably the lowest for easy tuning. What cam do you have?
The stock TB is supposed to be ok for 280hp, probably 300 with the ultimate mods. Once everything set up and tuned nice you can always try a biggher TB.

Any idea for a comparable if not better cam than the XE274 that's computer compatible anyone?

Re: I'm BACK!
EBL comes with many bins, I do incourage you to do the little changes to them yourself. The EBL has the feature of learning/calculating the VE table's, you just need to set it up to do it.
Im sure you could find and pay a member with EBL, that can change some numbers in the bin an e-mail them to you, if it really has to be.
For the cam you could try and play with the comp cam's "CamQuest6".

The C100 connector is driver side - the TBI harness is pass side, C203 connector I think - anyways it's pass side - driver side is all normal functions like lights, guage senders, etc.

Re: I'm BACK!
I just pulled a harness out of a 91 camaro and all you have to do is unhook the bulkhead on the driver side and pull all the wiring out of the engine bay. It's one harness, lights are in that harness too. Took me about 40-45 mins to get it out. I hacked up my harness though so i needed a new one. Considering the car came TBI its just basically plug and play besides the cam of course... haha
