INJECTOR POD SPACER !!!

let me start by saying that i'm a cruiser not a racer . i have many mild mods on my car . my last one , today i installed an injector pod spacer on my TBI . now my TBI unit was pretty stained up from 20 yrs of use . anyway i followed the instructions to install to the letter . took great care to keep all things clean . cleaned the injector pod very well when i had it removed . cleaned everything on the TBI unit with it still on the car . CLEAN , clean & more clean . anyway started up , ran smooth & nice . i was happy , left my nephews shop for lunch . went to waffle house (i'm in the south), a couple of young men asked about my car . (it does look good) they asked me to get on it when i left . O.K. i did , i felt a seat of the pants response . much better , crisper throttle response , and faster speed . just my thoughts , JEGS , Summit , CFM all sell them . just what i felt , i expect a lot of nay sayers from this post , but i feel it worked for me . good luck to all .

Re: INJECTOR POD SPACER !!!

I felt more when I did this mod but I also did a couple other mods at the same time with my air induction so it was hard to say how much it really did for me. For the cost. Not a bad mod. And not too hard to do.

Re: INJECTOR POD SPACER !!!

I did this mod as well but cant really say if I could tell the difference. There is more room for air to flow in theory.

Yup the theory is right. I do think the other mods I did outweighed this mod

Re: INJECTOR POD SPACER !!!

I just ordered one after reading this. The ad claims a 4 hp increase. What the hell, 4 hp is 4 hp. Several small increases in power add up.

Re: INJECTOR POD SPACER !!!

I know especially for 19 dollars or whatever they are running now. You probably did not have to order one. I know plenty of people who just double stacked a gasket for the injector pod and basically got the same results.

i am not selling anything , i just wonder how many gaskets it would take to to raise the pod 1/4" ? might take quite a few . how much are the gaskets ? i would guess from the thickness of the gasket i removed that it would take 20 or more . oh yes , also the cost of 3 new torx screws 1/4" longer ? just my thoughts , good luck .

The pod spacer usually includes the longer mounting screws too.

Does not really make any difference at all on stockish LO3's, but it is so easy and the theory sounds so good.

Also the spray pattern does not change drastically, so it can't hurt.

I did that on 2 LO3's and did not have that issue.

Also on one running 24psi trough the #55 injectors, no issue.

if your injectors sprayed outside the bore i think you have a bad spray pattern . time to get injectors cleaned , good luck .
