Crossfire and aftermarket computer chips...
Let me just preface this by saying that I know how some of you feel about aftermarket computer chips - that they are dubious.
But I frequent a couple of other Corvette Crossfire forums and most of those guys are happy with the Hypertech or Jet chips they're using. They claim both better SOTP and measurable performance gains at the track for their CFIs.
What do we think?

Overall most ppl don't like them. I put a hypertech thermomaster and I have felt a difference. But its not going to stop me from custom tuning someday

Re: Crossfire and aftermarket computer chips...
I must admit, that I've rarely felt much of a difference after plugging in an aftermarket chip. That's including the Hypertech Stage 2 chip I put in my IROC-Z over 20 years ago.
But those CFI Corvette guys seem to claim an improvement. One fellow claimed to have shaved 3/10ths of a second in back to back runs, in an otherwise stock L83, after inserting a chip. Who knows, maybe GM tuned those early cars conservatively.
Anyway, I've seen them as cheap as $110 for my application. I've certainly pissed away more money than that on worthless car stuff. I might just get one and try it out.

Yeah I dont blame you for wanting to try it out. Hope it works well for you. And you gotta figure they were just getting into ECM's. GM was...maybe it is a conservative tune due to the emissions laws etc..

I (as a mechanic and tuner) don't so much relish the challenge of tuning a high HP CFI, but if you dedicate and apply yourself, I think that it would be worth it. My interest in twin TBI (2bbl in my case) is our only link.
First the fuel supply problem, make the TB's parallel.
I don't do hand-holding.
No, they don't make any kinda chip that can run a CFI to it's potential, end of story, it's all on you.
An ECM mod that would make this possible.
