Did you replace your throttle positioning sensor? Did you clean, or replace your IAC?

I rebuilt. My tbi. Unit so yeah I sprayed down the iac with. Break. Cleaner

Transmission: 700r4 in both.
Axle/Gears: Iroc 3.27 Firebird 3.23

my iroc does too. new iac, maf, o2 sensors, msd cap+rotor 8.5m wires fresh plugs. no vacc leaks. in gear it idles normally though. idle is around 16-1800

Something is wrong there it shouldnt idle that high. You gotta figure that out.

If you let brake cleaner run downhill into the IAC motor it can get in there and ruin the electrics. When you use brake cleaner etc... you need to do them motor side up.

Unless you used a smake machine you could still have a vaccum leak under the intake, in valley pan. Now that I think about it if it's a TPI that maight not be true... check brake booster, check PVC valve, check EGR valve? HTH!

all my vaccum hoses are new , pcv is new , egr gasket is new , this thing idles at 2k rpm right from the start and it wont go down unless i put it in drive , after that as soon as i let off the brake pedal it just takes off fast

Same issue here. I think its my TPS cause when i unplug it i have no change in idle or drive ability
