TPS interchange
I am piecing together a system from JY parts. I got a wire harness and all the hard parts. However the connector on my harness and the connector on my throttle position sensor are different.
So my question is, do both type of sensor read same voltage etc? Can I swap the connector or the tps to match the other without problem? If I can swap the tps to match the harness I would prefer to do it that way.
My harness has the connector like this

and my tps sensor on the tbi is more like a pyramid configuration.

Which is the preferred method?

Re: TPS interchange
Over the years GM fielded three different TPS sensors configuration (used with TBI-220) which provide same voltage back to ECM - about 0.4 to 0.9 at idle position and about 4.3 to 4.7 at WOT position. Just make sure that have ground and +5 volt lines correctly connected.
The pyramid configuration TPS is a later style sensor and has a slot that engages throttle shaft. The earlier TPS used a lever that rested on the cam face of the throttle shaft. You can not mix TPS - it has to to match throttle shaft.
I hope this makes sense.

Re: TPS interchange
I have everything together now. Just need to swap the connector to get the TPS hooked up and see how it runs.
