I want to swap the old Throttle body out of my L03 5.0 for a bigger GM performance one. Is it worth it? It's like $200

the throttle body is not hindering the vehicles performance. your better off spending the money on other things that will help the car. The biggest HP limiting items in the car is the camshaft, heads, and exhaust. You dont need more airflow. You can do the Ultimate TBI mods to your current one, to help smoothe out the air into the intake. But actually replacing the TBI unit with a bigger one at this point and time, will/should decrease engine hp and you'll have a low rpm bog. Not worth it. spend the money on headers, catback, hi flow cat

Hmmm, I seen. I was looking to get some headers and a new exhaust.

Basicly, the main problem with my engine, is my engine.

No.The biggest problem with the powertrain in you car is......restriction. You have a restrictive air cleaner, restrictive heads that limit higher HP, restrictive camshaft, restrictive exhaust manifolds, restrictive catalitic converter, restrictive exhuast pipe and muffler.

That's pretty much the engine. I'm gonna swap it out for a 350 latter on anyway. I'll prob just get a better cold air intake system, headers, exhuast system, and mabey do a little bit of engine tuning. I'll also replace the rear end gears with a 3:73 posi.

yes you can use the air cleaner on the 350, the headers on the 350, the exhaust on the 350...basically only do stuff you can later swap to a 350. A lot of us have learned the hard way and we are trying to not let you do the same mistake.
