Having problems, need some help

Hi guys, I've bought a 92 rs 305 tbi 5 spd. I'm having the same idle problem I see quite a few have. Also car will start to die at redlites sometimes. I smell fuel sometimes also. I have been reading on here and am in the process of checking iac, tps, temp sensor. I pulled the breather off and disconnected the temp sensor to read ohms. Car would not start. I hooked sensor back up and started car with breather off. I could hear something making a sound like a little motor running, it was loud sittin in the car. When I got around the front I saw that the sound was coming from the 2 injectors. I have never worked on a injected car. Should the injectors be loud? I tapped them with a wrench, no change. One of them is spraying quite a bit at idle, the other not as much. Is this normal for idle. Any help is appreciated.

You probably actually have a bad injector, its leaking down spraying too much. causing an overfueling problem, which will in effect kill the engine out randomly, and you'd have an excessive fuel smell. now IT COULD be something else. But the injector is deffintely a possibility
