Dissconnected vacuum hose.

One of my vacuum hoses are disconnected and all of the hoses going into the TBI are connected. It looks like the hose is coming from inside the firewall, and is less than a Centimeter thick. My A/C is stuck on Defrost, and I think the hose might be in relation with that problem. Any ideas on where that hose needs to be connected?

I couldn't find a valve with an empty slot, post pics.
Like I said it DOESN'T go to the TBI.

Re: Dissconnected vacuum hose.

is air only blowing from your defroster? In other words, it does not move from defroster to a/c vents when you move the lever?

Re: Dissconnected vacuum hose.

There should be a vacuum reservoir somewhere.
You can hook the line to any vacuum source to see if the postions change at the heater controls.

that is correct. But it does make a strange clicking noise.

Re: Dissconnected vacuum hose.

Looks like the vacuum line that goes to the "top" (in the pic) of the heater bypass valve, looks broken too.

well there you go. By asking you that question it confirmed my hunch. Follow your heater core hoses to a plastic housing that looks like a space station. That vacuum line plugs in there and it will fix your issue about air only comes out the defroster
