Help finding correct Prom

I need some help with converting to a TBI.

Sorry, this is not in a Camaro

I am working up a list of parts I need to mod my '83 305 L03 engine with a TBI. The engine is mostly stock, but I have installed a Summit K1102 cam (262/272 and .420/.442) as well as an Edelbrock Performer 2101 intake manifold (currently using a quadrajet). I plan to use an adapter on the existing manifold to mount the TBI.

The engine is in an FJ40 Land Cruiser mated to a 700R4 with auto/manual torque converter lockup (automatic in OD or switched from dash). I live at sea level, but the trails I drive are at 3k to 5k feet which is a pain with the carb. Most of the power needs to be at lower RPM, but fuel economy is also a concern. I have a 175 degree thermostat and currently use 87 octane gas. It usually stays under 180 on the trail and sometimes as high as 190. I have ram horns into a 2 1/4"-2 1/2" exhaust with no EGR or emissions at all. I do have provisions for installing an EGR if needed as I have read that I can get better mileage with one installed.

I plan to purchase a 1227747 ECU.

Can anyone suggest which prom might best work with this setup?

Thanks

EBL Flash is the way to go, no PROM needed, just data-log and tune as you go. I'm new to tuning and I got my 383 up and drivable by basically using my stock 305 tune and dropping in the Vortec SA and VE tables. I also used the utility program that comes with it to calculate the injector BPC vs VAC for the size injectors I have with the fuel pressure I'm using.

Wow, that is some setup! More than I need for a mostly stock motor, though. Thanks, though. I may consider it down the road.
