Engine: Chevy 350

5.0 carbed engine to a 2.8 tbi?
Hi this swap im potentialy thinking of is Actually taking the 305 carb motor, and putting it in a chevy blazer with rod knock. The blazer has a 2.8 tbi.
Can i just put that tbi with diff intake manifold and a chip burn to make It work? Thanks

The wiring in the blazer should work for the v8, you'll need a tbi distributor for the v8 as well as a tbi unit. The 2.8l injectors & throttle blades are small. You might have to change the connectors going to the coil/dist. You best bet would be get a tbi from a close year, 87 was the 1st year on the v8s, get manuals for both vechiles to match up wiring. Theres make a book on swapping in v8s into s10s,. that might be a good guide, "JTR S10 v8 swapping".
2.8s & sbc have different bellhousing patterns, so you'll be looking at a tranny swap too.
