performer tbi intake vs. carbed intake with adaptor
I have been hearing alot of people say to get a carbed intake with an adaptor what makes this better than the performer tbi intake. What are the pros and cons of doing this. Thanks

The only pro i have for the edelbrock is that it looks nice, good things from carbed intake bigger hp gain, cheaper.cons you have make your own tv cable bracket, and have too find a way to mount your coil, bye bye egr,Also you may have to get a chip burned for it to get the most from it.

Just depends on how much work you want to do and how you want things to look. You will get more power out of a 4 barrel but it will be more fabrication and might not look as clean. I am running the performer manifold. I had to lengthen the vacuum line to my power brakes other than that it was bolt in. I painted it black and it looks factory till you get close to it. Cost isnt an issue. I paid 120 for mine on ebay, it had been installed but the engine never ran. It was pretty much new besides a few scratches. I have seen them go for 150 or less pretty regular. To get them most power out of a carbed manifold you need more stuff. If you are running a pretty much stock engine I doubt you would see much difference between the two. Now if you are running aftermarket heads, stout cam, headers and exhaust, bored throttle body, custom prom I am sure you would surpass what the performer could flow.

I bought my performer and I was planning on getting the Holly so I bored it out to 2". Though I have yet to put the holly on, I was wondering if anyone has ever done any flow tests as to how a bored performer would hold up against the adapter-carbed intake?
