My camaro cut off on me in traffic and highway. I did a complete tune up. A while back I've changed the fuel filter and pump and lots of crap and rust came out by now it seems like the same thing.Looked in the tank and no rust and the little shoe thing for the fuel pump was still on, so now what could be the problem.Also ecm through a 42 and 32 trouble codes.but once I change something it runs perfect until a couple days later.Can anyone add more to this for help.

 

mine did the same thing until it finally would crank but immediately cut off.also started running hot.i also lost oil pressure all at the same time.i changed the oil pressure switch(located next to the oil filter v6 3.1).also changed the whole distributor(rotor button,cap,etc...).oil pressure is fine now.it has shut off on me twice now since almost 2 months ago when i changed all that.fuel pump started whining insanly(was already whining when gas got below 1/4 tank).had to hook fuel pump up to a toggle switch got tired of hooking and unhooking battery all the time.still whines like crazy now.as far as the shutting off i havent got it pin pointed yet but still also have that prob just not every day.

 

You need to figure out what you missing when it stalls. Spark, fuel press., inj. pulse,Ect..

 

ok well im used to the old ford trucks.75 and up to around 95 or so after that im lost. this is my first chevy and i want to try to fix it a little at a time.not sure where to start when i have fire every where it needs to be gas every where it needs to be.first and foremost is my sqeeling fuel pump.t squeels the whole time the cars is running any gear gas or no gas just not sure there.tends to idle ruff at red lights and stop signs can and will every once in a while now.

 

I think it may be the spark and fuel.Spark- while getting off the highway the engine kept ticking sound and back fired. Fuel- when I step on it gas at a stop sign or basically at take off it starts to bog when cuts right off, starts back on.Note only does it when I drive about a mile and is warmed up. Really annoying
