Dies in idle, doesn't die in diagnostic mode. 92 RS

I know that the idle issues thread is pretty common around here, but I've looked for several weeks at different threads and have yet to find one quite like this.

I'm working on a 92 RS 305 TBI, completely stock. The car will run out perfectly when in open loop. Once it is in closed loop, the car will not idle in drive/reverse. However, once it has the 10kohm resistor connected between pins A and B, it will run out perfectly regardless of closed/open loop. WinALDL and TunerPro both tell me that the car is in closed loop, and the sensor numbers look fine.

Any ideas? From what I've read my understanding is that when datastreaming the car should be using the same "learned" conditions as when it is not datastreaming. But it seems like the IAC is not operating correctly when the car is not streaming data.

I should also add that the IAC is new. The car also has a new MAP sensor, O2 sensor, coolant temperature sensor, plugs/wires/rotor/cap.
