I have a 91 caprice classic with the lo3 5.0 305 with headers and a friend has a zz4 cam he will sell me for $40.

I would like to know will the zz4 cam work with my computer.

I would also like to know if i would need to do anything to my tbi or heads.

 

The heads won't take anywhere near that much lift- especially on the exhaust side which is .510" with stock 1.5 rockers.

A custom tune would almost be a necessity as well (TBI systems are very sensitive to "hot rod" kind of changes- like bigger cams).

Might want to look at the production LT1 cam instead- it's a popular upgrade for TBI engines. It'll still need a tune, but at least the lift is within the capabilities of stock TBI heads.

 

I was looking at the lt1 vs zz4 camshaft and the zz4 is smaller thin the lt1

That is the LT4 HOTCAM, not the production LT1 cam. The production LT4 cam has even less lift than the LT1 cam since it came with 1.6:1 rockers stock. With 1.5:1 rockers the Hotcam even has less lift on the exhaust side than the ZZ4.
