Re: 305 turbo
My old T/A has a Procharged 305, stock crank but nice rods and pistons. At 10psi it made 415rwhp on a bad tune. I was told the stock crank was the limiting factor in turning up the boost as they crack around 500rwhp.

Re: 305 turbo
I currently run 15-psi with the stock bottom end, mind you this is with worked heads, cam and intake so 15-psi is a hell of a lot more air than if it were a stock setup, and it will handle a lot more than that the way it is. What destroys engines with turbo's is excessive detonation, so keep your IAT's and EGT's in check and you will be fine. As said, 500-RWHP is usually when a cast rolling assembly will start to feel and succumb to the pounding, but your not going to make that much with a TBI system unless you make a lot of modifications...
his thread(s) he knows a thing or two about turbo 305s, i'd hate to see what he'd do to my 305 lol Trending Topics

Re: 305 turbo
they work just fine in most cases they work on an engine 2x the size with half the rpm range so they move the same air as a engine thats half its size would at redline
