TBI 220 leaking after overhaul...

so ... got an ACDelco overhaul kit, new injectors and adjustable fuel pressure kit.

but, when I test the unit on the car it leaks throughthe TBI cover seal.
I torqued the 8 screws to 28 in-lbs as per manual.

Do I have to use RTV or equivalent on the seal ???

need help, don`t wanna set the car on fire.

There are no oring around screw holes.
Orings are around injectors inside each pod.

Sealing is done thanks to one big seal with the shape of the upper and lover body parts.

Now I do not know how to seal this if the new seal is not doing the job.

I know they sell a thicker seal with some kits, there's two little "figure8" seals that go bad that create the leak you're talking bout also. Sorry if I'm no help man. I've disassembled mine a bunch of times and noticed those rings I'm talking about are the first to go. I can only suggest you sand the body and meter to make sure there's no high spots. After that a new seal should work with no sealant needed. Hope this helps you out brotha.
