Random Stumbling

I was driving down the road last week headed home. And all of a sudden the car stumbled and when i would give it gas it just sputtered. If I came to a stop the car would stall. I was able to make it home but it repeated this action 10 more times. The next day and for the rest of the week the car ran no issue. Last night on my way home the same issue happened again but thankfully i was with a group of other thirdgens. I had a code 32 so we disconnected the egr to see if that was the cause but it kept happening. I didnt see any loose connections though so i ruled that out. Someone also suggested it could be the coil? Thanks in advance for any help.
