Cam vs TBI

Hi guys I haven't posted much on this fine site but I have lurked quite a bit trying to soak up some info for my future S10 build..

I'm scoring a free L03 from my bros 89 Caprice, I was going to dump this in my 1989 S10 but Id like to spice it up just a tad... I'm not looking for a drag strip terror if I was I'd jump in my LS powered Cutlass but i'm building the truck on a realllllly tight budget that would be a bit fun daily driver nothing fancy...

The truck originally had a 4.3 with 250k miles and it died with a cracked block.. I was going to leave the 305 injected but I wanted to change the cam..

I have a stock L98 cam sitting in my garage and I was considering the old Crane 274 cam.. .450 lift 218 @ .050 on a tight 106LCA.. Which in my opinion is a sweet bumpstick... but is there a chance in hell I can make it work with TBI? I'm thinking it'll run like *** but I'd like to hear some insight from the pro's

I also know this is a roller motor... and going back to a flat tappet would require new pushrods and diesel oil and all that good jazz...but I'm just thinking aloud
