So I am back. After letting my Formula sit for seven years in my moms yard (on the back burner when my daughter was born), it now needs to be moved. Good thing is my new house and shop is less than 1/8 mile through a field. Bad thing is the car won't start. New battery but no fuel...oh yeah the squirrels also chewed through three plug wires (at least I know I'm getting spark as I can see the arc off of the air cleaner ).

I don't want to start trying to fix the fuel system in the yard, would rather get it in my shop. Has anyone tried rigging up a temporary fuel supply? It will run on 5 cylinders as long as I pour gas down the TBI so I know it is only fuel.

I thought about taping a bottle to the windshield and running a line through the hood scoop and a t to put one line to each throttle blade. It only needs to idle down the path, no public roads. The engine has 250,000 miles so I'm not really worried about destroying it as it needs rebuild badly.

Oh yeah, my dad had a dolly but it was stolen about a month ago...d'ogh!

 

There are fuel injector cleaners that you screw onto the schrader valve and pull the fuel pump fuse and the car runs off of the can. I have used them to move cars with bad fuel pumps before.

 

no schrader valve. TBI did not have them, at least none that I have seen have a Schrader valve.
