Re: Throttle Position Sensor
OK, here’s the problem I ran into when I wanted to replace mine.
They may have different manufacturer names but they are made by
Standard Motor Co. and they no longer make the stock non -adjustable one that came on my car...
I have tried everywhere. I sent back 3 because in the photo it shows a non adjustable one but what they send is adjustable.
Here’s one but trust me it does not look like the photo.

If the cover is missing on the throttle set screw, it most likely has been tampered with.
That means you’re going to need a digital tachometer like on a digital timing gun.
You will be setting the base timing to "0" stock, resetting the IACV, and then setting the minimum idle speed. Then use a multi-meter to set the adjustable TPS.
The TPS directly sends info to the ECM
The ECM then regulates fuel and the IACV position.
That basically it.
Sounds like fun……….

Re: Throttle Position Sensor
well I checked mine and I believe it is good.. voltage and ground from computer are in spec. full sweep thru sensor with no dead spots and steady rise and decline.. car has a dead spot at 50-55 mph..let off throttle and back it down to 45 runs fine or kick it up to 60 - 100 mph it is fine.. tonight it threw 3 codes.. 22 tps circuit low, 34 map sensor voltage low-high vacuum and 45 oxygen sensor rich .. anyone got any ideas??

Replace the sensors ... Or at least test the ones u can test ... Or check the voltage coming from the ecu to the sensors .. Make sure ugot 5v if not bad computer or wiring
