L05 rebuild questions
My engine has developed a lower end noise after 257,xxx miles. Actually it's had it for a while now and I have been babying it. The engine I have to rebuild is an 89 tpi 350 short block and a set of 193 swirl port heads.
This engine will be built with 2 goals in mind-
1. Low speed torque
2. Better fuel mileage
How much wiggle room is built into the L05 ecm? Can I run the stock tpi roller cam with the stock L05 tune? Everything is stock aside from the tpi roller cam.
Later on down the road it will have the tpi intake put on it with a custom tune, but for the time being I will run the tbi setup.
Thanks

Re: L05 rebuild questions
I don't see where going the L31 Vortec route would be cheaper as I don't even have a Vortec TBI intake that will run more than 400 bucks or some of the other things I would require to run a Vortec engine that would add to the total price. So in short, I have no intent on going the L31 route.
