Timing and driveability

Ok guys. Engine is a stock l03 with an edelbrock performer tbi, flowmaster exhaust, and some heddman longs, i just put the performer tbi intake on(ive ran it on my old engine). When i set the timing, the heat was on max. Would this explain the slightly sluggish engine? Im running in open look right now by the way, tune is untouched. WILL SETTING THE TIMING WITH HEAT ON HAVE A DIFFERENT EFFECT AS TO HAVING THE HEAT OFF WHILE I SET TIMING?

Re: Timing and driveability

I can't imagine an interaction between heater use and ignition timing.

Why are you in open loop? That can't be good. If the timing is set to spec, next step is to find out why it won't go into closed loop.

Did you unhook the brown wire on the passenger side inner fender when you set it? If you didn't then your timing isn't set correctly.
