Holley GM truck TBI
Holley GM truck TBI
jegs sells a high performance TBI unit that has a flow rate of 670cfm and accepts all stock hookups and flows 42% better...it says it will fit a 87-89 GM 5.0 truck so would it be a direct bolt on to a 88 305 TBI camaro? and if so how much will it help.

Yeah, it'll bolt right on an '88 Camaro. I know 'cause I've got one. I got rid of my EFI so I'll sell you my old Holley throttle body for cheap. Drop me an e-mail.
is it the 670cfm size? all the wiring and sensors hook right up dont they? i plan on upgrading the lo3 allitle...probably new TBI, intake manifold, and cam for now...id like to get a higher flowing intake since i have decent exhaust flow...right now all i have is open element mod with k&n, k&n breather, flowmaster exhaust, no emmissions equipment, and hooker comp headers.... i just read some of the stuff on your website and was the holley TBI the reason the car bogged down and didnt run? doesnt seem like that should affect performance since it should still be controlled by the comp...

The reason that the car didn't run right wasn't the fault of the Holley TBI. Not the TBI by itself's fault anyway. After I completed all my mods the computer was incorrectly calibrated for the engine. There was more flow through the engine and the stock fuel delivery & timing curves no longer matched what the engine needed. I tried burning my own chips to correct the problem but never got it right and eventually gave up on it. That's where I stand right now.

Just realized that I forgot to answer your question...
All the wiring and vacuum lines were a direct match. It won't bolt up to the stock intake 'cause the throttle bores on the intake are not big enough for the big 2"ers, but that's the only thing that won't work without modification.

hey Mark,
I'm interested in that TBI.
Did you have to buy a four prong connector to use with the factory wiring?
Jon (JPrevost) had to get one, but maybe that was due to his car?
I have a 92 RS. Think I'll have any probs?
