TPI to TBI

What would I need to do to make my Camaro a TBI? It is currently a TPI.

Re: TPI to TBI

Why not? TBI is a simpler. cheaper system to modify for performance.

TPI to TBI

It's no simpler than tpi. Just less inhectors. How do youcheaply get more performance out of it trumping the tpi?

Re: TPI to TBI

It may be simpler to tear apart and work on, but you'll seriously limit your power potential with it. It's good for a daily driver but for performance not so much. Why not a stealth ram or pro flow intake?

They aren't TPI. The OP never stated his goals.

Not specifically no, but he did hint at "modifying for performance".

Is this the '86? If so it is easy, EFI wise need to move a few terminals/wires in the ECM harness connectors. Add a MAP sensor and wire it in (use the MAF wires). Under the hood, change the injector connectors, and possibly the TPS & IAC (they vary) connectors.

Swap the intake, be aware of the TBI intake having the newer mounting bolt angles (4 bolts).
