will win ALDL work for '84 L69
Thanks mate,
when i went to connect I found the serial data pin/wire on the aldl is missing, or was never there. I'll have a look at the wiring behind the connector to see if it has been removed intentionally.

They aren't always in the same place. The serial data wire from the ecm that is. You need to look at a simple Chiltons service manual for your specific vehicle. If it's got a different ecm or different style aldl then it'll be in a different position. The easiest way to go about looking for the serial data wire is to drop the ecm onto the floor and look up your ecm wiring diagram. Most good shops have this stuff on CD-rom etc. Then look at the color of the wire and it's location, find the same wire on the aldl and you're ready to tap in to the high life.
I just got the chiltons manual and didn't think it had have that level of detail for the 84 ecm. I don't even know what model ecm it is yet, after swapping the speedo cable and heater core this weekend i'll pull the model number and do some research.
thanks
thanks
my friend/neighbor has a LG4 Camaro, and im getting a laptop for 30 bucks maybe, so hopefully i can use that program. It wont work for the LG4 will it? And any where i can get a plug to go into the computer port so i dont have to always plug each individual wire in???

Then it will probably work. What year is it? 1984-1996 electronic carbs are supported, and it might work with newer too.
Louis Baiani is helping me to test the new version. He discovered that the ALDL timing is different compared to other 160 baud ECM's. We managed to make it work and he is testing it now before I release it.
