I've found a 93 Z28 for a real good price, If I can get a decent sell on my car I'm going to go get it. I know that the 93 was kinda a bad year, but its a steeping stone to a ls1. besides it has a lt1 and a six speed, I'll enjoy having a low 14 second car that I'll take into the 13s, maybe 12s. I wish I could hold on to the rs forever, but it just isn't as fast as I want, and its cheaper to get a newer one than to mod it

I'm gonna put it in the paper for $6250, then maybe I'll get 5000 for it
, everyone says rs aren't worth that much, but they are thinking from a dragracing point of veiw, not a total package. otherwise everyone would own 350s or higher, and no one would one a v6 monte carlo, which are twice as easy to sell

mayn, people are droppin like flies from this board. Does everyone know something thats going on which i don't? I cant even afford decent mods right now, and everyone's buying 4th gens, or at least droppin new engine's into their current ones. Hmm, pity on me right??? LOL j/k. Good luck with your car!

$4,800 and the rs is yours, that is as low as I can go, I came out and told you that because I know that a member here would give it a good home.

2 opinion on the matter of getting a 4th gen: Better from the factory, that's about all. The all have 350's so that's a plus but everything else about them I'm not crazy about. They definatly have the advantage of technology but it comes at a price.
I for one am just glad I can still use a cherry picker to remove my engine in a weekend. Good luck tinkering on an Lt1 or Ls1. Only ticker you can do is add a power adder which has been done to death for a good reason :-)
If I had my way I would keep my car and just add all the 4th gen goodies to it.
It's funny that I actually get MORE compliments about how my car looks than most 4th gens that I know of. It's probably because a good condition 3rd gen is hard to come by nowadays.
I will say the new Ls1 firebirds look great but I'd still rather have either a 1st or 3rd gen. For less than $3000 ANY car on this board could have a mid to high 13 second car with a 350 and tons of potential. I guess engine swaps are a thing of the past :-( sad sad day.
The most fun I ever had with my car was my engine swap. Even though I had mega bugs to work out it was worth the $3000 (that includes price of new engine and new parts).
BTW, I got my car a few years back for $3750, he was asking $4800 ;-) Just thought I would through that out at ya. He was an idiot that wanted more speed and a way to make some payments on his new death....sorry....."sports bike"

id like to have a 4th gen but insurance would kill me since im only 17 and id have to spend at least 7000$ to get a nice one...i got my 88 for 2000$ and its in pretty good condition...just a torn drivers seat and the clear coat is coming off the bumper..other than that its pretty nice. from 10 or more feet away it looks mint and i get alot of looks in it...just about everyother 3rd gen around here is a real eyesore its sad to see
