Hey guys first time posting on this but have use it for reference for years, anywho I’ll give you the rundown of what I have and the problem I’m having.
1992 Camaro RS TBI 305 25th Anniversary
I bought it last year and I belt it has been sitting for about 15 years so I’m updating most parts as I go. When I got the car I did not have a key and it did require the resistor so I changed out the key switch and then got the correct resistor for the VATS system. I replaced the fuel pump and have pressure to the injectors but not out of them, I have power to the one wire of each injector pigtail. New plugs, Wires, HEI distributor, headers, battery and fuses for the injectors. This is my second 3rd gen that I’ve own but I’m jumping deeper into this build opposed to my last one I have also tested the injectors with the 9 V battery and I get the little clique out of both of them so I know the injectors are OK I also took the injectors out and clean them to the best that I could with air and cleaner. It will run on starting fluid if I crank it up and spray it into each side of the throttlebody but as soon as I stop spraying it will die so this is definitely a fuel related issue. Let me know what you guys think! - Coop
It’s a bigger style HEI where it just requires the white and red wire, I was kinda curious if I still need the old one plugged in of if there is something else I’m missing.

will never fire the injectors until the ecm gets a signal from the icm.
you can go large cap hei 85-86 tpi f body or 85-91 vette but will have to change the icm four wire connector .
Okay so I think this is gonna be my easiest route to get it actually running again, I just picked up a stock style distributor with a new icm so, technically I should hook that up and have spray, if not I need to keep searching..
Hey 92RS-HeritageEd, can you send me a pic of that Manuel where it says what to do when only one injector is working. It says refer to A3 (2of2) but I don’t have the manual. I’ve been up all night trying to find out what my car is only firing one injector and changed injector twice , then checked no power going to one of the injectors. Is the fuse the only possibility ? I’m going to sleep and going to look at it again tomorrow . Any help is greatly appreciated
[QUOTE=Tuned Performance;6495258]Might check at the wiring splice where….
I have a 88 Camaro 5.0 vin E tbi V8
only one injector will fire it even will run at idle . But is there 2 separate fuses for each injector? And I’ll check the fuse box where the wires share power
thanks.
