Made in USA Distributors

My tired TBI truck needs a new distributor and I've had no shortage of problems with Chinese parts. What is the consensus on Performance Distributors out of Memphis? They appear to be the only Made in USA distributor I can find. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Made in USA Distributors

Pertronix makes pretty good stuff too. I'm running their coil and HEI module and they work phenomenally.

I thougIt their stuff was still made in the USA too??

Re: Made in USA Distributors

somebody on here has/had a stash of original N.O.S. (made around 1997) small cap distributors up for sale - if I find who it was i will post.
edit: you will find them in the parts for sale section

Re: Made in USA Distributors

Thanks guys. That's great there's nothing cooler than an original part for my stock truck. I intend on rebuilding the crusty distributor that's in the truck currently, but I'm new to all this and its my daily driver so that will be a backup. What a great community!

Better contact DUI to confirm "Made in America" status. I think you're gonna be disappointed. Same with Pertronix.

Re: Made in USA Distributors

Unless Davis is lying... I run one in my 82 for a while now, they work just fine for me. However, they will NOT release their Latency table values for tuning. They do say that they are close to GM. Bob from Dynamic EFI and I talked about this subject one day on how to find out what they are, but wasn't willing to go to that extent.
