Corvette heads on my '93 Chevy truck???

Pro's/Con's of putting Corvette 10088113 aluminum heads on my '93 TBI 350 truck engine. These are the 58cc chambers. Have a chance to get a set from a friend for $300. Are these a "bolt-on", what about the EGR?
Thanks for the help.

the center 2 bolt holes on each side are also the old style with the steeper bolt angle. so you will hafta oval out the holes on the intake to get them to line up perfect, but that is easy to do.
tas, i thought vettes had EGR on the tpi motors too? not sure, just wondering.

Thanks guys. Any ideas on how I can make my EGR set-up work or how to fab an external EGR to work with these heads?
Thanks again.

I've been thinking on how to run EGR on a non EGR heads like the aluminum L98 vette heads and the Vortecs. 1 idea was to use ford EGR plates that Edelbrock makes. These are 1" tall carb spacers that have a ford EGR valve provision on the side. If you do a search for "Ford EGR" in this board you should find the old posts.

The other idea:
You'd need to use at leat a EGR intake with the Vette heads, Since it gets the gas from the center of the heads, there is the crossover path that has this gas in it. The vette heads don't have this opening in the center of the heads but if you used the EGR intake the path for the gas would still be there. Maybe you could route a hard line from the exaust maifold to the EGR pathin the intake. That way gas would be in the chamber that would normally be fed by the center ports of the heads. I'll try to get pics to explain when I get home. I'm taking a break at work right now.

Pace Parts sells a kit to run the Vortecs on TBI trucks like mine. The kit includes an EGR set-up utilizing a '96 set of truck exhaust manifolds which have a tapped hole in them to run a tube for the exhaust gases back to the tapped GM Performance Vortec TBI intake and external EGR valve.
There's info on the Pace Parts site under the description of the GM Performance Vortec TBI intake.

I want to run the 'Vette heads with an Edelbrock TBI intake. I'll have to fab an EGR set-up similar to the vortec one listed above.
