help me clean up my engine compartment

I'm gonna remove my smog pump soon, I would also like to remove the box with the hoses (I couldn't find the name) on the passenger side, I know some of you got rid of it, and I would like to too.

just rip out your entire AC. The condensor (in front of the radiator), compressor (AC pulley), accumulator (silver can), and that big ugly A/C box (the one with the hoses coming out, the evaporator is in there). I did this to my car and replaced the AC heater box with a standard heater box and i have so much more room in my engine bay. I also delete my heater control valve which turned 5 hoses and a valve into 2 hoses. I also took out the windshield washer tank (it had a crack in it and i dont think i would have really used it anyways).

take out the windshield washer fluid and coolant reserve and clean under them. I did the wholoe engine bay like this... starting with something like fantastic or 409 to remove the grease and grime and then waxing using Meguires cleaner wax. Looks beautiful now If you've got cruise and don't use it, you could rip that out as well.

i want to keep my ac, I didn't know that the box dealt with the ac, I thought that it was just a "extra", I'm not gonna show it yet, I just want to loose some weight and gain some space to work on it.

Go ahead and pull your smog pum and diverter valve. It will make things alot more open. You can cut alot of the hoses back for the rear coolent crossover and move that black valve back to the rear of the comparment to make things up front lok better.
