I don't think that has TBI. My mom has a 1980 Caddy and it has mpfi with a TBI looking TB. Maybe call the dealer and ask?

I believe there were 2 4.1L engines in the caddy's in the 80's, one was a v6 and another was a v8. I believe the v6 was only made in 81 and 82 so I'm going to guess and say you've got the v8. If that's the case, then all my sources say it's either the 1226930 or 1226462 ecm.

In 85 it would have had the V8 with Digital Fuel Injection (DFI) I thought it was an entirely different system with the injectors mounted right by the head

oh no man they had Digital Fuel Injection. It's kinda like a MPFI except that the fuel injection is controlled by digital microprocessors as opposed to analog, they dont have the direct injection. The direct fuel injection is used in diesels and it isnt digital and most commonly found in the Volkswagons.

The Caddy's also had an aluminum block. The 4.1's made only 140hp and 200tq.

Tas, you may be thinking about Direct Fuel Injection (or DFI), rather than Digital Fuel Injection (also DFI). Some of the European diesel cars have recently come out with this Direct fuel injection, I can see where you got confused. Caddies definitely had Digital FI, to find out, all you have to do is watch Gone in 60 Seconds. The stolen drug dealer's car (Caddy) has digital FI.
