WD40 into airdam?

WD40 into airdam?

Hey all
my car died today, my buddy said that at his garage they spray WD40 into the airintake, and try to start it and it apprently starts right up. Is this safe for your engine???

its combustable, so it probably didnt hurt anything. I wouldnt recommend using it regularly. They have starter fluid you can buy. Your probably fine.

??? I've sprayed carb cleaner to help start up when I've run out of gas to get them started again but WTF?

do yourself a favor and spend two bucks on a can of starter fluid. hopefully you wont need it on a regular basis, but its got ether in it which is highly combustible and when the time comes, thats the right stuff to use.

yeah i just used starting fluid when my injectors werent priming the engine
