you shouldnt need to pull the motor, youll be removing the radiator, and basically the top of the engine.

whatever happened to the "step by step" guide that someone was supposed to be writing on how to do the LT1 cam swap???
I'll be tackling this job soon and to be quite honest I'm going in rather blindly...

You'll need to remove your intake manifold to access the lifters. Then the distributor. You'll need to take all the stuff in front of the engine off ie. water pump, pulleys, etc. Then remove the radiator from the car. Next the oil pan needs to come off and then the timing cover. Then the timing chain and gear. Oh and you need to take off the valve covers so you can loosen the rockers so the lifters can come off the camshaft. Then you can remove the camshaft. Slide the new one in. Then you need to preload all the lifters but twisting the pushrods and tightening the rocker nuts until it stops spinning in your fingers then tighten it 1/4 more turn. Then reverse the process.

Its not that easy.

I was planning on doing one, but throughout all my hard work, and the amount of time it took me, I didn't have time to do nearly as much as I wanted to. It was way more of a PITA than I realized
