my car started smokin when i accelerate today. i checked the oil and it was fine. what might it be? and what do i have to do fix it.

 

That will depend on the color of the smoke...
Blue= oil I believe
Black=running rich
white= blown head gasket

one time I had a real bad tranny leak and it would smoke worse upon acceleration, but I forget the color of the smoke.

 

when was the last time u put oil or trans fluid in your car cuz if its recently u might have spilled some of it and it might b burning off still ...... and where is the smoke coming from?

 

its blue smoke. i really need to know what to do, cuz i gotta drive the car for w few years still.

well you are burning oil....... hmmm get an oil change and change some of your filters.... trans filter...oil filter(obviously)....... fuel filter.... and see what happens from there..... and use 10w-40 oil...... its much better for the car than 5w-30. make your oil filter a fram. and get royal purple racing oil its great stuff.

A little bit of blue smoke at start up is valve seals.

Blue smoke during acceleration is bad piston rings.
