Removing rivets inside door ?

What do you guys use to remove those rivets deals that hold power locks, etc. on the inside door.
They look like pop rivets, but have a screw extending outwards. This make drilling them imposible.
I was able to remove two that hold the door lock actuator, but I use a cutting blade right threw the center. Took forever cause the rivet still didn't want to let go !
The rivets are flush against the door making it imposible just to cut the heads off.

Is there a specail tool ? What the hell do you guys use ?
I'm about to glue some M-80's to the ^astards !
It's bad enough feeling up the garage with cutting head dust. arrr

when i did the manual -> power window conversion i had to remove several of the 1/4" rivets.

i used a variety of tools for the task

first an electric grinding wheel to grind the rivet heads flat
then a punch to hit the center stud out of the rivet
finally an electric drill to drill the rest of the rivet out

in salvage yards, i've seen people brute force the rivets out of doors using a hammer and chisel or a big prybar. but the doors are usually junk anyways and it doesn't matter if the door is damaged in the process of removing a lock actuator or window regulator.
