Power Locks/Windows in a non-power car

I am going to purchase a 92 Camaro RS, but the only thing I don't like about it is that it has manual windows and locks, and my question is this:

How hard will it be to take the power lock and power window system from my dead 84 Sport Coupe and install it in the 92?

Can anyone provide any helpful information about this? and if not does anyone know where I can have aftermarket power windows and locks put in the car, and how much should this cost. Any info you have is appreciated. Thanks!

where can I get this "shop" manual? and what about the locks?

would it be easier just to do an aftermarket setup?

Thanks

scratch that, I just figured out all I needed to know - thanks for all the help!

But I am still wondering how much it would cost to just have it done, like at a car stereo store or something....I would appreciate your estimates!

car stereo shop is very likely to use one of the aftermarket power window kits such as spal (http://www.spal-usa.com) that grips where the window crank used to be. sounds like a good idea at first, but in practice the plastic grips strip out and the motor does not develop very much torque.

if you plan on keeping the car for a while, consider using oe gm parts or a kit such as http://www.electric-life.com that includes a new "scissor" regulator.

here's a picture of the mechanical parts you'd need for the swap. From left to right: 1/4" rivet gun, power window regulator, old manual crank regulator

here's a shot of the other side of the regulators. for comparison, there are two 25ft tape measures laying next to the parts.

here's a picture of the drivers & passengers side regulator. note, the regulators do not interchange side to side.

changing out the regulators & wiring the car for power windows is definetly not a quick job.

probably be best to approach it in steps over the course of a few days or a couple weeks.

First wire the car & install the switches
next connect the power regulators to connectors and see if they work
finally change out regulators one door at a time
