vaccum for heater and cruise control

my car came with no engine so consequently the two vacuum lines for heater were just hanging. one goes to the carb i think, not sure about the other. anyone know how they go?

the previous owner pulled the cruise control vacuum diaphragm to put an msd box in its place, it used vacuum right? where should i look for the old lines to make sure they're plugged?

On my car the vacuum line from the heater runs to a canister of sorts on the firewall just to the drivers side of the wiper motor, and then a hose runs from the canister to the intake.

You've got a really simple motor, so you get really simple vacuum setup. Brake booster hooks up to manifold vacuum. Heater hooks up to manifold vacuum. Vac Advance hooks up to manifold vac (i think on an hei dist you hook it to manifold rather then the timed port on the carb). Plug all the rest of the vacuum ports on the intake or carb, and you're set.

And yes, the cruise used vacuum, but just hook up what you need and plug the rest, and you'll be fine.

i'm pretty sure i've got two hoses coming out of the firewall though so if one goes to the canister where does the other go?

if you had cruise theres a hose coming out from down by the pedals, that will be for the vacuum switch on the brake and clutch pedal. The heater is the hard plastic one that comes out with the fan wiring.
