Retarding timing?

How do u retard the timing in our cars. becuz i have no clue. im goin to be nstallin my nitrous soon one day and want to retard it a good 6-8 degrees. if anyone could help thanx.

My suggestion would be to do a little research with the use of gas...you most likely don't want the base timing to be retarded, but probably want to run an ignition system that reatrds the timing when the gas is on...ala blower set up. Maybe try the power adder board for guys who run it all the time, could be gas doesn't need retard at all.

That said, timing is a simple adjustment....

Disconnect EST bypass connection, loosen the distributor hold down bolt, and rotate the distributor clockwise.
