Cooling system ?
Cooling system ?
I recently installed a new 3 row brass/copper radiator. The car runs cool with no overheating problems. I did notice that when the car is off and cooling down, the upper radiator hose seems to collapse. When it is completly cool the hose is no longer collapsed. Is this normal? The hose is new and so is the 16 lb. radiator cap. Any thoughts?

Mine does this too, but only the bottom hose. You should change the top hose because when the car is off, the coolant still circulates (heat soak) .
They usually put a spring inside the hose to keep this from happening.

I think someone said to check your radiator cap to make sure it's holding pressure. Mine doesn't collapse, that I know of.

i spent $100 for be cool hoses from summit(summits brand but be cool makes em , alot cheaper) anyway, the metal hoses dissipate heat alot better and theyll last the life of the car.....just a suggestion
