11's N/A?

I found out some exciting news a few months back - I'm having a kid! Because of this, my goals of running 11's arent changing, but the road to getting there may, so that is why I am writing. As I have said many, many, MANY times before, I have a hi 12 second IROC that has ZZ4/TPI, headers, 3" exhaust, 3.73's and other little things. Not under the hood yet are a SuperRam and a 12psi Procharger w/3 core intercooler. I am planning on selling the SuperRam for some extra money, and I am certain the procharger will get me 11's, but that much boost on a 10:1 motor w/hyper pistons concerns me ... even though the folks at ATI say I have nothing to worry about if I get it tuned well. I have been seriously considering selling both the SR and procharger (w/intercooler) to get a nice carbed 383 or something in that order from someone who wants to sell. I already have a daily driver and don't drive much as it is, since I do web development from home. Could I get a motor like a 383 powerful enough to get me in the 11's for $3000 or so? To make more sense of why I am doing this, I will let you know that if I go this route, I would sell the ZZ4/TPI for something around maybe $2500. In the end, hopefully, I'll have a nice strong 383 (or even 350 if it can hit 11's) without having to worry about boost and an extra $2500 to spare. Any help is greatly appreciatted!

well im going to have to say that i think a well built 383 could easily get you into the 11's n/a.i wuoudnt bet against a 350 doing it either.but i dont think you could do it for 3000,unless you know alot of people that can hook you up with parts for REALLY cheap.but it is doable none the less, just i doubt at $3000.

Is the car ever going to be driven on the street?

Boy or Girl, or is it too early to tell?

I have my girls help me on my car all of the time, they love it!

yup, it's too early to tell the sex, but we can't wait!

The car will be driven on the street. I don't think it would be worth it otherwise!

I am thinking I will have to find a private seller - I can remember when my dad had a fully rebuilt 454 and a mooneyham blower that he let go very cheap about 14 years back because we were getting into a house - I need someone like that
