I had my suspicions about the heads on my new engine. I was told they were hi performance heads. Stupid me just went with it. I ran the serial number today at a chevy dealer and he said they were 262s. Older heads from Nova's and stuff. They are brand new but I dont think that qualifies as hi performance! So I dont know what Im going to do now. Should I get Vortec heads, World Heads, Or just stick with the ones Ive got and get a new Intake and Cam?

Well I bought the engine as a long block for 500$...........dont ask why It is supposed to have performance pistons and heads. But Im willing to bet not. And now that guy no longer lives at his house. IMAGINE THAT. But all the stuff is good. Just not Performance. Im basically wanting to put powerful heads with a good intake, headers and cam................Can I do that and keep it a TBI. Do they make intakes for that scenario? TBI works fine for me but if I have to put a 600cfm carb on it I will.
