This is ny first non-tech post in 300 and some odd ones, so please leave it open for a bit at least...

Okay here is my day from hell- First period of grade 11, shop; couldnt get any better. Well it could because our go kart was ready to go, and I was up secord to drive it. The first guy runs around, and then I get in. I go out and get my bearings, and as most of you guys would do, I floored it...

Well the throttle gets stuck- on WOT!!! It was really bound up, as I found out later... So I am headed for this 80 road, outside of school, and the brakes dont work, because they are the rear and one of them in the drive wheel. OMG! I hit a speed bump and it completely destroys the brakes, big loss... I rip it to one side and hang a 180. Hit the bump again... The air filter flies off, so I cant stall it to kill it and the revs shoot up. At this point I am going 30 mph, and then 40 mph...

I am freaking out... nothing worse than that I know I am going to either get seriously injured or killed feeling. I have to hang a 90, thankfully I know a bit about racing lines, and I use it. Then I see the end of the road, dead end... to fast for a 180.

Do I ditch it! No I didnt jump, I litterally threw it in a ditch. 4 feet deep, and I flew about 3 feet in the process. Screwed up my knee in the crash... I roll out. And on pure adreniane at this point, rip the plug wire off and give my hand a good spark in the process.

After coming home with my busted knee, Parker, my dog, nudge the door open and ran away. This is the day from hell... dont make it any worse that it is...please leave it open.
