Some Important Things I Need To Know

what size is the stock 305 harmonic balancer on an 87 Z28?

cuz i need a timing pointer


also........what size bronze distributor gear do i need cuz i have a roller cam??

the distributor is an HEI with vacuum advance non-computer contolled

it has the coil in the center of the cap


just for my own knowledge...........do i need to measure the distributor gear i am replacing on the NEW distributor

or do i need the same size gear as the one on the old computer controlled distributor i am pulling out

Coil in cap HEI distributors require a gear with a .491 shaft diameter and remote coil distributors require one with a .427 shaft diameter. You will not have to have a bronze gear with a hydraulic roller cam. GM #10456413 is a melonized gear for coil in cap HEI distributors that will work great.
