Fast way to get a 305 to run 13's.
Is to sell it and buy a LT1 car. Thats right I'm about 1 week from going to the dark side of the 4th gen. One day I may find another 3rd gen. I'd like to thank all for the help for the 2 years I've had this car. I will get I more trip to the track next weekend if it does rain again. Low 14's is pretty good for a LB9, but low 11's with a LT1 is much better.
96 White Z28, LT1, A4, 3.23 posi(edit gear ratio not a 3.42), Leather, all power, and only 45K impossible to pass up for only $6995. Many mods to come.
Thanks Rob (new87)

I was thinking of buying a 4th Gen, but I wouldn't really be able to afford one that I wanted without selling my car, and I couldn't see doing that.

4th gens are going pretty cheap lately. ~$8000 for a 95 6 speed, is the normal good deal, nothing special. Good Luck trying to get past the low 13s/high 12s like everyone else with a 350 L98 or LT1. They're a pretty good car as long as you can handle the huge dash.

I paid $6400 for this 96 LT1 6 speed fully loaded.

It had 16" Chrome 5 stars, not my 17" WS6 wheels.
I sold it to my brother for $10,000 2 weeks later since he wanted it really badly. His 96 Camaro 5 Speed 3.8 was too slow for him.
Actually, I got screwed on the deal, He gave me $5500 and his 96 Camaro. No one wanted to buy the Camaro, only got $3200 for it.

All you need to go that fast is $$$$$$$. The car is from an old lady who's husband has past away. She is a friend of my grandparents and wants to get rid of the car. Supreme Member

First mod to do is 3200 stall converter, low 13's instantly.
Then headers and exaust. High 12's easily.

When you get settled into the seat, maybe we should chat about LT1 cams and the options. I'm on my second one, and could possibly save you the grief that I experienced with the first swap. I was afraid of getting too aggressive with the profile, and got too conservative.
