what do you think of this combo? should the vette head's work okay with this cam? and is the 268 a somwhat mild cam???

Don, I can tell you from experience with the 268. It's a damn good grind for the STREET. Much better then the 280 or 292.

You might also look at the Crane 222@.050 #3863151. That's a &^%$ing good grind also.

I have the 262 on my trans am, and let me tell you, if you spin it it hauls (I have a single plane manifold currently, that kills my low end). Even with the single plane manifold, my car has no problme laying two 50 foot black strips on the road. I cant wait till i get a manifold that can actually work at low rpm and still breathe up top. My only caution is the 268 may be a little large for the 2.77 rear gears...

 

no worries im swapping some gear's into my 9 bolt 3.42's or 3.45's one, my posi is gone anyways so.... what the hell, i wanna get a that done and a tranny rebuild before i put the cam or head's on it

 

Great cam; very very bad choice for the car in your sig no matter what heads, because of TPI.
